How to

Warehouse

10 tasks

The Warehouse screen, with the controls these steps name numbered on it 1212

Add a filament type

Tell the app which filaments you use: brand, material, colour and the usual price. Every spool on the shelf belongs to a type.

  1. In the menu, open Warehouse, then Filament.
  2. Press New type at the top of the page.
  3. Choose the brand in Vendor / brand. Not in the list? Pick Other (type your own)… and type the name.
  4. Choose the material in Filament type, for example PLA or PETG.
  5. Pick the colour in Catalog color, or type its name and hex code yourself.
  6. Check Price per kg. This is only the usual price: every delivery gets its own.
  7. Press New type at the bottom of the window. The type is saved.

Worth knowing: A type holds no stock by itself. To put spools on the shelf, receive a delivery of it next.

Receive a filament delivery

Bought a box of spools? Put it on the shelf so the app knows what you have and what you paid for it.

  1. In the menu, open Warehouse, then Filament.
  2. Press Receive stock.
  3. In the first line, choose the filament in Pick a filament…. Its usual price fills in by itself.
  4. Enter Weight of one spool, g and How many arrived, for example 1000 g and 5.
  5. In Price per kg, put what this delivery really cost.
  6. Leave Spool if the filament came on spools, or choose Refill for bare refills.
  7. Bought several filaments at once? Press Add and fill in a line for each.
  8. Press Receive stock at the bottom. The spools appear in the list as sealed.

Worth knowing: Is the filament missing from the list? Add its type first. Sealed spools do not go to orders until you open them.

Add spools you already had

Starting out with spools already on the printers? Add them straight into work with roughly how much is left.

  1. In the menu, open Warehouse, then Filament.
  2. Press Add opened.
  3. Choose the filament in Pick a filament….
  4. Check Full spool, g: how much a full spool of it holds, usually 1000 g.
  5. In Left on it, g, type the grams from a scale, or press 25%, 50% or 75% if you are judging by eye.
  6. In Price per kg, put what you paid per kg.
  7. Another spool? Press Another. When all are listed, press Add.

Worth knowing: A rough figure is fine. Later, weigh the spool and correct it on its page with a stock-take.

Open a spool for printing

Orders only take filament from open spools. Opening moves a spool from the sealed shelf into work.

  1. In the menu, open Warehouse, then Filament.
  2. Press Open a spool at the top of the page.
  3. In Sealed batch, choose which sealed spools to open.
  4. In How many to open, say how many, usually 1.
  5. Press Open a spool at the bottom. The spool now shows as open, and orders can use it.

Worth knowing: The button is grey while nothing sealed is on the shelf: receive a delivery first.

Correct how much filament is left

Weighed a spool and it holds a different amount? A stock-take fixes the figure and remembers why.

  1. In the menu, open Warehouse, then Filament.
  2. Press the row of the open spool. Its page opens.
  3. Press Stock-take.
  4. In Counted, grams, enter what the scale shows.
  5. Choose a Reason, for example Found extra if there is more than recorded.
  6. Press Save. The new figure is saved together with the reason.

Worth knowing: The reason follows the count: more than recorded is Found extra, less is Lost; change it if the cause was different. A sealed box is counted with the sliders icon in its row, in whole spools.

Set when a filament counts as low

One spool nearly empty is not a shortage while sealed boxes of the same filament stand beside it. The line is set per filament type, on everything you have of it.

  1. In the menu, open Warehouse, then Filament.
  2. 1 Press Filament types. Each type is listed with what is in stock, what queued orders will take and how long it lasts; the types running low come first.
  3. In the row of the filament, press the bell - Low-stock line.
  4. In Low under, grams, enter the weight below which you want to be told.
  5. Press Save. The list reorders at once.

Worth knowing: Leave the field empty to go back to the usual 100 g. What is counted is open spools plus sealed boxes, less what orders in the queue will take - so a full shelf can still be short.

Record where a spool lives

A place beside the spool's name tells anyone which shelf to reach for, and the search finds it.

  1. In the menu, open Warehouse, then Filament.
  2. Open the spool from the list, or scan its label.
  3. Under the name, press Change the place.
  4. Type the place or tap one you already use, then press Save.

Write off a finished spool

An empty or spoiled spool should leave the stock with a reason, so the loss shows in the history rather than as a gap nobody can explain.

  1. In the menu, open Warehouse, then Filament.
  2. Open the spool from the list, or scan its label.
  3. Press Write off.
  4. The grams start at 0. Choose the Reason and press Save.

Worth knowing: Written off to nothing, the spool leaves the list: an empty one is not stock and no longer counts as running low. It is not deleted - the Empty tab above the list holds the finished ones, and each still has its own page.

Add supplies: magnets, packaging, keyrings

Things you buy rather than print. Add them once, then put them into orders at their own price.

  1. In the menu, open Warehouse, then Supplies.
  2. Press Add.
  3. In Name, type what it is, for example Magnets 8×3 mm.
  4. In Cost per unit, enter what you paid for one piece.
  5. In Price per unit, enter what you charge for one. Leave it empty to charge what it cost.
  6. In In stock, say how many you have now, then press Add.

Worth knowing: When more arrive, press the plus in the supply’s row and enter how many came. To correct the count, use the sliders icon in the row: a stock-take keeps the reason.
