LayerFlow3D vs 3D PrintForce

Of everything in this category, 3D PrintForce is the closest to us: it costs the machine properly, it holds spool prices, and past five printers it is cheaper than we are. The differences are narrow and worth being precise about - where the printer connection comes from, where print time comes from, and who you sell to.

Choose 3D PrintForce if

  • You sell on marketplaces, and Etsy most of all. Real-time order import plus a fee profile per channel is the core of their product and we do not have either.
  • You already run SimplyPrint. Their Growth plan routes jobs to your machines through it, so you get queue automation on top of a fleet controller you have already set up.
  • You run more than five printers and want the cheapest real product. Their Starter has no printer limit at $12.50 a month, where six machines put you on our Pro - and the calculator in front of it is free forever with no account, genuinely the easiest way in this whole category to check your own numbers today.
  • Your shop is a storefront on somebody else's platform and you are happy with that. Everything they build assumes it, and none of it is wasted on a shop page you would not use.

Choose LayerFlow3D if

  • You want the machines read directly rather than through a second subscription. Our telemetry is native and on the free plan; theirs is SimplyPrint's, on their top plan.
  • You are tired of typing print time and filament weight. We take both out of the slicer file you already made.
  • You want to sell without a marketplace taking a cut - a page of your own, linkable from a bio, that a buyer can order from without an account.
  • You want a label bought from the order rather than a saved rate to copy somewhere else.
  • You need the interface in Ukrainian or Russian, or a shop page in Polish.

Side by side

FeatureLayerFlow3D3D PrintForce
Machine time in the cost Hourly rate per printer, power draw and labour, against print time. Yes - their Starter plan stores "configs, hourly rates, spool costs, and material types", and the free calculator does material, labor, machine costs and marketplace fees. 1
Reading the printers Directly, on every plan: Bambu Lab, Klipper, OctoPrint, Voron, Creality and Anycubic. Through SimplyPrint, on the Growth plan: "Print jobs route to printers automatically through SimplyPrint". No telemetry of their own. 1
Where print time and filament weight come from The slicer file. Drop in a 3mf or gcode from Bambu Studio, Orca, Prusa, Cura, Simplify3D or ideaMaker. Typed into the calculator. Slicer import is not mentioned. 1
Selling to customers A public shop page of your own, included on every plan, that a buyer can order from without an account. Through marketplaces: Etsy auto-import in real time, with Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop and eBay named. No storefront of their own. 1
Per-channel pricing One price per product, on your own shop. Better than ours: unlimited marketplace profiles, so the same model carries each channel's fee structure and its own optimised price. 1
Filament as stock Sealed boxes and open spools, tracked to the gram, each carrying what it cost. Inventory of filaments, model supplies and shipping supplies; stock auto-deducts from real orders on Growth. 1
Shipping Carrier integrations that buy a label from the order. Custom shipping profiles - saved rate configurations, not labels. 1
Free tier Free, no card: 2 printers, 50 orders a month, live telemetry and a shop page of your own. A free calculator, forever, with no account at all. The rest of the product is paid. 1
Cheapest paid plan Base: $8 a month billed yearly or $10 monthly, for 5 printers and 500 orders a month. $12.50 a month billed annually, $15 billed monthly. 1

Questions people ask

Do they really cost machine time, or is that just a calculator?

They really do. Their pricing section lists hourly rates and spool costs on the Starter plan, and the free calculator explicitly covers material, labor, machine costs and marketplace fees. Anyone telling you that 3D PrintForce only tracks materials has not read their site. The marketplace fee handling is better than ours.

So what is actually different?

Three things. Their printer connection is SimplyPrint's rather than their own, so live machine state means a second product and a second bill. Print time and filament weight are typed rather than read out of the slicer file. And every sales channel they name belongs to somebody else - there is no shop page of your own, which is the thing a maker selling through an Instagram link actually needs.

Can I use both?

You could, but of everything on this site it is the pairing that overlaps most: both would be costing the same jobs. If you sell mostly on Etsy, theirs is the better fit and we would say so. If you sell mostly to people who message you, ours is.

Which of us is cheaper?

Up to five printers, we are: our free plan covers two, and Base is $8 a month billed yearly for five, against their $12.50. From six printers they are, because their Starter has no printer limit and ours puts you on Pro. What the difference buys is native telemetry on the free plan, slicer import instead of typing, a storefront of your own and carrier labels from the order - if none of those matter to how you sell, take the cheaper one.
