LayerFlow3D vs 3D Print Manager
3D Print Manager, from a one-person company in Croatia, starts where a print farm loses money first: the spools. It reads the printers without controlling them and takes the slicer's grams off the spool, which is exactly how we work too. The difference is what sits around the stock - orders, customers and a shop page - and what each costs.

Choose 3D Print Manager if
- Filament is the whole problem. For stock and costing alone, €3.99 a month for five printers is less than our Base plan, and their smart reorder counts jobs still in the queue.
- You already sell through WooCommerce or PrestaShop. They import from both; we do not.
- You need invoices from the same place, in Croatia, Slovenia or anywhere Minimax works.
Choose LayerFlow3D if
- You want orders and customers on the plan you start with, not from €19.99 a month.
- You sell to people who find you on Instagram or Telegram: a shop page they can order from, on every plan.
- Your team or your customers work in a language other than English, Croatian or German.
Side by side
| Feature | LayerFlow3D | 3D Print Manager |
|---|---|---|
| Filament stock | Sealed boxes and open spools to the gram; an order takes its planned filament when it moves to In progress. | Every spool by weight, colour, material and location, with QR labels; the agent "deducts the slicer's grams" and a failed print counts only the share it printed. 1 |
| Reading the printers | Read-only telemetry on every plan: Bambu Lab, Creality and Anycubic, confirmed on real machines; Elegoo, Flashforge, Klipper + Moonraker and Prusa / OctoPrint in beta, built to their published protocols. | Read-only too: it "does not start, stop, pause or send print jobs to hardware". Bambu Lab through Bambu Cloud and their Windows agent, Prusa and Klipper on the network, other brands through Home Assistant. 2 |
| What goes into the cost | Filament, machine hours at the printer's own rate, power draw, labour and margin. | "material, electricity, machine/amortisation, labor, failed-print buffer and markup". 2 |
| Where print time and filament weight come from | From the slicer file: a sliced G-code or 3MF from Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer, Cura, Simplify3D or ideaMaker fills in the print time and the grams. A raw STL or an unsliced 3MF has neither yet, so it is sliced first. | G-code from PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Cura and OrcaSlicer, on PRO and above. 3 |
| Customer orders | An order board on every plan, from request to shipped parcel, with the customer on it. | Work orders from FARM Core (€19.99 a month); orders arriving from a webshop on FARM Connect (€39.99). 4 |
| Sales channels | A shop page of your own, plus order import from Squarespace (beta), Prom.ua (beta) and Shopify (beta). | "Shopify, WooCommerce or PrestaShop orders create the customer and Work Order automatically", on FARM Connect. 3 |
| Selling to customers directly | A public shop page included on every plan, that a buyer can order from without an account. | No shop page. The one public page lists filament colours, with "no quantities, prices or personal data". 1 |
| Quotes and invoices | No invoices yet. A buyer's sliced upload can be priced on the shop page for you to confirm. | Quotes and invoices through Minimax or PDF, on FARM Connect. 4 |
| Languages | Ten, in the app, on shop pages and in the letters it sends. | English, Croatian and German. 1 |

Questions people ask
Do they control the printers?
No, and they say so plainly: their agent "only reports what the printer did, it never starts or stops a print". Neither do we. If you want to send jobs to the machines from the same tool, neither of us is it.
Is their filament count more accurate than yours?
It is the same kind of number. Both take the grams the slicer planned rather than weighing what came off the spool, and theirs counts a failed print by the share of its time it ran. A scale is the only real measurement either of us has, and both let you correct a spool by weighing it.
Is it the same 3D Print Manager as the iPhone app?
No. This page is about 3dprintmanager.eu, by dD Tech in Croatia. An iPhone app of the same name by a different developer, and a desktop file library at 3dprintmanager.com, are separate products.
